Bangalore: Rumours about the corona vaccine are still circulating in many rural areas in Karnataka and people are afraid of vaccination due to a lack of awareness. In Karnataka, Deputy Commissioner of Chamarajnagar district MR Ravi has launched a unique initiative to promote vaccination. In fact, he said that those who do not get vaccinated will not be given rations.

Chamarajnagar district deputy commissioner MR Ravi has launched a campaign with the slogan 'No vaccination, no ration.' Under the campaign, 2.9 lakh BPL and Antyodaya cardholders will be required to take the vaccine mandatorily to avail ration facility in the district. On the other hand, the number of corona-infected people in the state increased again last Monday. According to a report released on Wednesday, the province registered 1,217 new cases of infection on Tuesday.

On the other hand, the number of daily investigations was also 40-50,000 less than on other days. With the new cases, the total infected figure in the state has increased to 29,49,445. According to the report, 28,93,715 patients have recovered in the province. Of these, 1,198 people were discharged on Tuesday, while 18,386 patients are undergoing treatment. A total of 37,318 patients have lost their lives from Covid in the state. The health department confirmed 25 death on Tuesday.
