BANGALORE: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has extended his travel to Davos for the World Economic Forum, and will now return on Friday.

CM Bommai will meet with business leaders who have expressed an interest in investing in the state. Murugesh Nirani, Minister of Large and Medium Industries, and C.N. Ashwath Narayan, Minister of IT and BT, Higher Education, are also staying back with the chief minister to facilitate the investments.

The Karnataka government declared in an official statement that the meeting was successful since the state was able to attract large investments.

The state's two new policies, the New Research and Development Policy and the New Employment Policy, were emphasised by the Chief Minister as part of the state's efforts to make Karnataka the most attractive investment destination. He invited the CEOs to the Global Investors' Meet and the Bengaluru Tech Summit, both of which would be held in Bengaluru in November.

For the first time, the team led by Chief Minister Bommai has signed MoUs with two big corporations, totaling Rs 52,000 crore in investment. "It is evidence of significant firms in Karnataka's great faith and trust. It is the largest investment flow the state proposal has seen in recent years "the statement read.
