Bangalore: Yeddyurappa cabinet to be expanded in Karnataka today. It will make all efforts to support Lingayat, Vokkaliga, OBC and Brahmins. Yeddyurappa's cabinet is expected to have ministerial posts of 8 from the Lingayat community, two from OBC, one from the Brahmin community, three from the Vokkaliga community and two from the SC-ST community. A total of 17 ministers are expected to be sworn in.

If 8 more Lingayat community members are made ministers, the number of members of the Lingayat community in the Karnataka Cabinet will be 9. The BJP led by CM Yeddyurappa has formed the government in Karnataka after the JDS-Congress coalition government headed by HD Kumaraswamy collapsed last month.
