Yeddyurappa, CM BS, Karnataka comes from the Lingayat community. If 8 more Lingayat community members are made ministers, the number of members of the Lingayat community in the Karnataka Cabinet will be 9. The BJP led by CM Yeddyurappa has formed the government in Karnataka after the JDS-Congress coalition government headed by HD Kumaraswamy collapsed last month.

Yeddyurappa has been sworn in as the CM of Karnataka for the fourth time on July 26, 2019. This time the JDS and the rebel Congress MLAs helped the BJP in forming the government in the state. If these MLAs do not rebel against their own party, the BJP government would not have been formed in the state. The question now is whether the Yeddyurappa government will give any reward to the JDS and the rebel Congress MLAs or not.
