Bengaluru: After Maharashtra and Delhi, the lockdown may also be imposed in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. On Monday, Karnataka CM B.S. Yediyurappa said that lockdown can be implemented in the state if required. He said during a press conference  "People have to think for their own good. If people themselves do not take precautions, then we will have to take tough steps. He said that if the need arises, we will implement lockdown".

CM Yediyurappa further said that PM Narendra Modi has also discussed the steps taken by the state government regarding the corona. I told PM Modi that in the districts where infection cases are increasing rapidly, a night curfew has been imposed. He said that people must wear masks. Along with this, Yediyurappa said that people should follow the rules of social distancing and always keep using hand sanitizer. 

CM Yediyurappa appealed to the people of the state and said that people should take precautions themselves. If the people of the state do not cooperate with the government in this, then the government will have to take tough steps. Govt wants the people of the state to cooperate with the government.
