BANGALORE: B.S. Yeddyurappa was sworn in as the CM on July 26 after the state's Congress-JDS-led coalition government collapsed amid the political crisis in Karnataka for the past several days. But for him and the BJP, the day of July 29 is very important. Today, B.S. Yeddyurappa has to prove his majority in the state Assembly. He gave a time of 10 a.m. for this. He says he will get a vote of confidence.

On Sunday, the BJP MLA met at the Chancery Pavilion Hotel in Bengaluru. Leaders like CM BS Yeddyurappa and Jagdish Shettar arrived. After the meeting, the party had made it clear that all BJP MLAs would remain in the hotel on Sunday night. At 10 a.m. on Monday, the party will prove its majority. This is being done for fear of splitting up in the party.

We will get a majority in the Assembly," Yeddyurappa said after the meeting was over. He will also bring a no-confidence motion. Our government will then submit the finance bill. He hopes the Congress and the JDS will support us. The term of the finance bill expires on July 31.
