Siddaramaiah is the leader of the Congress Legislature Party and is considered to be the most powerful leader of the Karnataka Congress. Even before the coalition government faced political instability, the JDS has been indirectly holding Siddaramaiah as responsible. Meanwhile, the JDS is trying its all-out efforts to save power. According to sources, the JDS leader may also agree on the formula if the CM's post goes out of the hands of the JDS and goes to the Congress.

In this context, GT Devgouda, a top JDS leader and MLA from Chammundeshwari assembly seat, said, "We have no objection to Siddaramaiah being the CM". He said, the decision of the JDS-Congress Coordination Committee in this regard will be accepted. Devgouda also said that if the party says it is ready to resign from its seat.
