The State Government has approved the opening of cinema halls, multiplexes, theatres and similar places with 50% seating capacity and strict adherence to corona rules from 19th July. However, the night curfew will still continue from 10 pm to 5 am.
According to the same report, in view of the decline in new corona cases in the state in the last few weeks, CM BS Yediyurappa held a meeting of senior ministers and officials under his chairmanship and decided to relax the restrictions in the state. In addition, higher educational institutions like colleges and universities have also been approved to be started from 26th July. An official statement said that theatres will be allowed to operate with 50% seating capacity after following corona rules.
On the other hand, on reopening of colleges and universities, the government said that only those who have taken at least one dose of vaccine will be able to come to colleges and universities. It may be noted that in view of the third wave of corona in the state, the ban was imposed from 27th April and it was tightened from 10th May as the cases of corona in the state continued to rise. More than 50,000 corona cases were reported in the state on May 5. However, in view of the decline in the number of patients in region, restrictions were relaxed due to first unlock from June 14.
