Karnataka minister says, "Many BJP leaders want to join Congress"

Karnataka's municipality and local body affairs minister Ramesh Jarkihihali said on Saturday that many BJP leaders are in touch with him to join the Congress. One day ago Karnataka BJP chief BA Yeddyurappa had claimed that many leaders of Congress and JD (S) are ready to join the Congress party, after which the minister made the remark.

Zarkiholi said, "BJP leader is in our contact ... they want to join our party." Talking to reporters in Belgaum, the minister said that the Congress will decide on joining them in the lower order. Zarkiholi did not tell the number of BJP leaders who wanted to join the Congress.

Disagreements among some members of the ruling coalition were seen. Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa had said in the party executive meeting on Friday that many leaders of Congress and JD (S) are ready to join the BJP.

Karnataka BJP President BS Yeddyurappa is once again eyeing the chief minister's chair. Last month, due to the unity of the Congress-JDS, he had to resign within 56 hours of taking the oath of CM post.

Here, news of the displeasure of former Karnataka Siddaramaiah has also come out. After this, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy took initiatives to reconcile Friday night. In a tweet, he wrote that Siddarama in the government will play a big role. In response to Kumaraswamy's tweet, Siddaramaiah called all the news related to his resentment as a rumour. He said that the government is stable.
