Mysuru:  In connection with the alleged sexual harassment of the children of the children of the employees working in the Mutt, the Karnataka Police on Friday filed another FIR at the Nazarabad Police Station in Mysuru.

The FIR was filed on Thursday night based on a complaint made with the assistance of an Odanadi group. It contains up to seven names, including the seer of the Murugha Mutt and the dormitory warden Rashmi. The case is expected to be transferred to the Chitradurga rural police station.

Notably, Seer has already been accused of sexual harassment in a case under the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offenses Bill (POCSO) Act. He is currently being held in judicial custody and is incarcerated.

On September 23, the Chitradurga court denied the seer's request for bail. The seer subsequently asked for permission to sign for the Muth's financial obligations and the staff's salaries while he was incarcerated. The judge originally rejected his plea, but eventually agreed to let him sign the checks inside the jail.

The seer allegedly harassed a member of the Mutt staff whose two daughters were also students here, and was given encouragement by the hostel warden Rashmi, Basavadithya, Paramashivaiah, Gangadharaiah, Mahalinga, and Karibasappa.

Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru, the head of the Sri Murugha Mutt, was detained on September 1 by the Karnataka Police.

The victim girls claim that Sharnaru molested them sexually for almost two years.
