Bengaluru: Karnataka police on Saturday arrested three people in Bengaluru and seized more than 4 kg of Ambergris worth Rs 4 crore, i.e. whale vomit. According to south-east Bengaluru DCP Srinath Mahadev Joshi, based on a special input, police have arrested the accused near mico layout in Bengaluru.

DCP Srinath Mahadev Joshi said, "The accused came to Bengaluru from Tamil Nadu for the lure of making money easily. About 4.1 kg of Ambergris, the whale vomit, has been recovered from the accused man. Police have also seized a car used for crime.'' State that Ambergris, meaning grey amber in French. It is a solid and waxy substance produced from the intestines of sperm whales. This vomit is used in making perfumes (Perfume). That is why whale vomiting is extremely expensive.

In another case, the Bengaluru CCB anti-narcotics wing has recovered 15 kg ganja in the Gyanbharati police station area and arrested six accused. Joint Commissioner (Crime) Sandeep Patil said, 'Drug trafficking is being closely monitored for the New Year.'
