Mumbai: The struggle to save the Congress-JDS coalition government in Karnataka continues. After resigning from the government, 14 rebel Congress-JDS MLAs have stayed at the Renesas Hotel in Mumbai. The petition filed by rebel MLAs is scheduled to be heard again in the top court on Tuesday. On Today (15th July), Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy, Congress veteran Mallikarjun Kharge and Deputy CM G. Parmeshwar are expected to arrive in Mumbai.

They are said to be reaching Mumbai to persuade the rebel MLAs. However, the Mumbai Police has been asked to provide security to the rebel MLAs. A letter has also been submitted to the Mumbai Police on behalf of all the rebel MLAs. In a letter to the senior police inspector of Mumbai's Pawai police station, the rebel MLAs said, "We have no intention of meeting Mallikarjun Kharge, Ghulam Nabi Azad and any Congress leader from Maharashtra and Karnataka.

The letter further states that we have no intention of meeting any other politician. We have risk of life from them. The rebel legislators further wrote in the letter, "We urge you to take all necessary steps to prevent these people from meeting us."
