BENGALURU: On Thursday, the Karnataka Education Department will release the SSLC (Class 10) results. During the hijab row and intense police coverage in the state, almost 8.73 lakh students took the exams.

By 1 p.m., the results will be posted on the website. Students will also receive results on their department-registered mobile phones. The results will be released by the schools on Friday.

The administration of the exams was seen as a litmus test for the ruling BJP. Despite the hijab dilemma and commotion, the bulk of students had attended exams. With the exception of a handful, Muslim students avoided wearing hijab for the key exams.

After two years, the tests were finally administered in the customary pattern following the Covid epidemic. To avert any showdowns or unforeseen incidents, Section 144 was enacted in and around 3,444 test centres across the state, and strong police security was given in the vicinity of all examination locations.

\60,000 government personnel were assigned to the task of overseeing the examinations. This academic year, 8,73,846 pupils were registered for the SSLC exams, with 4,52, 732 boys and 4,21,110 girls.

Exams were also taken by four students of the third gender and 5,307 children with special needs. The state government also established helplines for students to resolve any issues, tension, worry, or anxiety.
