Bangalore: Karnataka Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar today disqualified 11 more rebel MLAs on Sunday. That means 14 rebel MLAs have been disqualified so far. Earlier, the Speaker had disqualified three rebel MLAs on Thursday.

According to information, after the formation of the government, the BJP has indicated to Ramesh to step down as speaker. The BJP government has said that if Ramesh does not step down, a no-confidence motion can be moved against him. Disqualifying the rebel MLAs, the speaker said, "Where did we come? The way I was pressured to deal with the situation as a speaker. All these things have pushed me into depression. "

On the other hand, senior BJP leader says that Speaker Ramesh Kumar has been asked to step down, which is the ruling party.' If they do not do so, a no-confidence motion will be brought against them. In Karnataka, B.S. Yeddyurappa, who was sworn in as the CM for the fourth time, will have to prove his majority in the House on July 29.

The JDS has also refused to support Yeddyurappa during the trust vote. Three rebel MLAs who were disqualified on Thursday have challenged the verdict in the Supreme Court. The three congress MLAs are Ramesh L Jarkiholi, Mahesh Kumathalli and Independent MLA R Shankar. The Speaker said that the membership of disqualified MLAs will expire by May 23, 2023. The Speaker said that they will not be able to contest the elections till the term of the Assembly is over.
