The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court has asked the Central Government whether the Censor Board has given a certificate for the release of the film 'Prithviraj'. In fact, this order of the court came on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on Thursday, in which there was a demand to stay the release of the film. Let us tell you that the court has fixed the hearing of the case in the week starting February 21.

On the other hand, Justice A.R. Masoodi and Justice N.K. Johri passed this order on a PIL filed by Karni Sena Vice President Sangeeta Singh. Yes and the petition had sought a ban on the release of the film, alleging that it is presenting a 'false and obscene' picture of a Hindu emperor Prithviraj and hence has hurt sentiments. The petitioner says that the preview of the film itself shows that it is controversial. Let us also inform all of you that 'Prithviraj' is an Akshay Kumar starrer Hindi film. Yes and this is the second time that Karni Sena is opposing the release of a film.

Let us tell you that in the year 2017, Karni Sena strongly opposed the Deepika Padukone starrer 'Padmavati' directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film's release was delayed due to nationwide protests at that time and the makers changed the title from 'Padmavati' to 'Padmaavat'. Talking about Prithviraj at the moment, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood are also playing lead roles in this film along with Akshay Kumar. At the same time, Manushi Chillar, who won the title of Miss World, is going to be seen in the role of Sanyogita in the film. The director of this film is Chandraprakash Dwivedi and this film is being made under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
