Mumbai: The Karni Sena has started a legal battle over the web series Aashram, starring Bollywood actor Bobby Deol. Karni Sena has issued a notice in the name of Prakash Jha, the director and producer of the series, demanding the removal of the trailer of the web series and banning the release of the entire series for misrepresentation of the Hindu religion's Aashram system.
'Ashram Chapter 2 The Dark Side' is scheduled to release on November 11 before Diwali. There are 7 days left for the series to be released and Karni Sena is preparing to hold a nationwide show to stop it. This notice has been sent by Surjit Singh, Maharashtra State Organization Minister of Karni Sena. The notice stated that the trailer of 'Ashram-Chapter 2 The Dark Side' has hurt Hindu religious sentiments on a large scale. The negative image of Hinduism is being kept before the coming generations. The characters in the trailer are not targeting any particular person but are being misinformed about the ancient traditions, customs, Hindu culture, ashram religion, which are confusing people.
In the notice, Karni Sena has also raised questions about the first season of the ashram. In which many objectionable things were shown about the Aashram arrangement and the same work is continued in season 2. The Karni Sena has opposed the image of Hindu religion's Aashrams being tarnished. It has also demanded the removal of the trailer and an immediate ban on the release of the entire web series.
