New Delhi: There has been a lot of tension between India and Pakistan in recent times over the Kashmir issue. Furious Pakistan ended many relations with India. But Pakistan kept his stand on the Kartarpur corridor positive. Pakistan is going through a terrible financial crisis these days. Its economy is almost dependent on foreign aid. Due to which Pakistan is stuck in huge debt. Therefore, Pakistan now wants to raise funds from this corridor. It is adamant on recovering from Indian Sikh devotees to visit this holy site.

It has retained the proposal to recover 3120 Pakistani rupees ($ 20) from Indian pilgrims coming to visit Kartarpur Sahib in the final draft sent to India. Although India has expressed its objection to this proposal earlier. In fact, considering a large number of Sikh devotees coming to Kartarpur every year, Islamabad is considering it as a good earning opportunity. According to the final draft of Pakistan, everyone can use the Kartarpur corridor without any restrictions.

India will have to hand over a list of devotees to Pakistan at least 10 days in advance and it will reply to it in 4 days. All pilgrims going to Kartarpur Sahib will be provided transport facility at Zero Point. The date of opening of Kartarpur Corridor has not been announced officially by Pakistan. At the same time, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur had tweeted on October 12 that PM Modi will inaugurate the Kartarpur Corridor on 8 November.
