Patna: Former Bihar Law and Sugarcane Minister Kartikey Singh has resigned from his post and has now clarified the same. In fact, recently he said that 'BJP should not spread more propaganda so he resigned.' Apart from this, he said that BJP people were defaming his party RJD and the Nitish government, so he felt that he should resign. Let us tell you that the kidnapping case was heard in Danapur court and the verdict is to come at 4:30 pm. In fact, the BJP had questioned Kartikey's inclusion in the cabinet despite being named in a kidnapping case in 2014 and demanded his removal as a minister.

Reacting to the reshuffle in the portfolios of these ministers in the state, BJP state president Sanjay Jaiswal said, "Kartikey Singh's portfolio was changed on Wednesday. This is Nitish's new zero-tolerance policy that we are trapped in, we are also saving. We will trap Lalu (RJD national president), Tejashwi, Anant Singh, and Anand Mohan and when we come to our shelter, we will save them.'' On the other hand, Congress state spokesperson Asit Nath Tiwari hit back at the BJP, saying, "Why is there a problem with the cabinet reshuffle in Bihar? No one had a problem when Prime Minister Narendra Modi changed the portfolios of Union ministers like Piyush Goyal and Smriti Irani.''

On the other hand, BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi had accused Kartikey of issuing a warrant against him for not appearing despite being summoned in a kidnapping case and that he took oath on the same day he was to appear before a court.
