Actor Kartik Aryan has revealed on Thursday that his film Pati Patni or Woh's team have removed the dialogue with Marital from the film. Kartik said that the decision was taken when the team realized that people's feelings were hurt by watching the film trailer. In the trailer of this film, Kartik Aryan's character Chintu Tyagi is complaining to his friend (Aparshakti Khurana) about how there is a lack of sex in his life.

When the trailer came out, many pointed out the sequence where Kartik's character vents to his friend saying when a husband asks for sex, he becomes a beggar and if a husband tricks his wife into sex, he is a rapist. This dialogue did not appeal to the public and people expressed great displeasure over this dialogue on Twitter. People said that marital rape is not a joke. Along with this, a demand was made to remove the dialogue from the film.

When Kartik Aryan was asked about this controversy during an interview, he said,  "When the trailer came, we realised that we shouldn't hurt anyone and should remove it immediately. Usually this doesn't happen in films. We took responsibility because it might have come across as something that wasn't our intention. We realised we shouldn't use that word (rape) at all so we have rectified it and made changes because we don't want to hurt people's sentiments."

Pati Patni Aur Woh actress Bhumi Pednekar also apologized for this dialogue. Like Kartik, she also said not to hurt people's feelings.
