The news of M Karunanidhi’s death shocked the whole of India. His fans, celebrities and DMK workers busted into tears as India has lost a political stalwart. Due to Death of Karunanidhi, Tamil Nadu Government declares the public holiday for tomorrow and seven-day mourning.  Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation services to Tamil Nadu have been stopped temporarily. Politician, celebrities and all the popular personalities expressed deep sorrow and shared their emotions through different mediums.

Prime minister Narendra Modi said that he his Deeply saddened by passing away of Kalaignar Karunanidhi. He was one of the senior most leaders of India. He further added that We have lost a deep-rooted mass leader, prolific thinker, accomplished writer and a stalwart whose life was devoted to the welfare of the poor and the marginalised.
