For the first time, Veeravati observed a fast in her maiden and this fast was Nirjala fast. Seeing his sister in a state of Nirjala fast, the brothers could not keep up and they lit a red tan outside the banyan tree outside the city and asked their sister to offer arghya to Chandra Dev.
Veeravati dined after offering arghya to Chandra Dev. As soon as she took the first bite of the meal, the first bite came in her hair, while in the second bite, she got a sneeze. Whereas in the third bite, she was invited by her in-laws. When she reached her in-laws house, her honeymoon was devastated. Her husband had abandoned her body. She started crying loudly. Only then Indrani appeared and Indrani asked Veeravati to fast every month's Chauth and Karva Chauth.
