Actress Priyaa Bathija married with DJ Kawaljeet Saluja. Their stunning photos and social made their fans giddy with happiness and everyone was certain that for Priyaa it was indeed happily ever after. However, the news of trouble in paradise surfaced and as it turns out Priyaa dealt with domestic violence in her marriage and has now filed for divorce from her husband.

Kasamh Se actress recently opened up about her marriage and how things went downhill in a conversation with SpotboyE. The actress said, "t is unfortunate that we have to speak about this; you would expect how a girl who is going through a divorce the second time feels! Like any girl, I wanted to have a fairytale wedding, otherwise, why would I agree to marry again?"

Speaking on the issue of facing domestic violence the actress said,"Tt was a case of domestic violence and one day it grew really out of hand; I had to complain to the cops; I filed a NC in Oshiwara Police Station."

Priya further revealed that she had lost faith in love marriage and agreed for an arranged match. She had hoped this was for good, which is why she even agreed to put her career on pause and spend time in Raipur as her husband's home is there.  The actress said that what she thought and what was there were two different things altogether. In fact, when she moved to Raipur to stay with her husband and his parents, it appeared that her husband wanted to settle down in Mumbai. At first, she was happy about it and even her mother in law was adamant that the pair shift to Mumbai.

Priyaa also mentioned that she made every effort to help my husband in his career, but never did he treat their marriage as a serious relationship. She called herself 'his ticket to his life in Mumbai'.
