Lucknow: The Kashi Dharma Parishad on Friday held a meeting and expressed its displeasure over the communal violence that broke out in Uttar Pradesh and other parts of the country after the Jumei prayers. They have demanded the Centre and the state government to identify the perpetrators of such anarchy and the conspirators behind it and take the strictest possible action against them. In a meeting chaired by Mahant Balak Das, Peethadhisvara of Patalpuri Math at Sudama Kuti Hartirath, 16 resolutions were passed in the presence of Peethadhisvara, Saints, Mahants and social activists of the monasteries of Kashi.

In the meeting, it was decided that the proposal will be sent to the government along with the heads of all akharas, all sects. They have demanded that the government take strict measures against the fundamentalists. Stop reining in the person and institution responsible for stone-pelting and violence. Their properties should be confiscated. In the meeting, Santo said that the conspiracy behind the violence has to be busted. There have also been many demands for the government to send those who make jokes on Hindu gods and goddesses, to jail immediately. The meeting also condemned the vandalism and attack on the Hanuman temple in Ranchi.

The Kashi Dharma Parishad meeting has demanded that permanent security be given to Afsar Baba (leader of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch), who speaks the truth on the Gyanvapi issue. The officers arrested Baba's attackers and went to the NSA. The Kashi Dharma Parishad has announced that it is with Nupur Sharma and wants the NSA to be slapped on those who threatened them with rape. It has also been decided in the meeting of the Kashi Dharma Parishad that a joint meeting of saints, Mahatmas and Naga sadhus will be held soon in this matter and further strategy will be worked out. The saints will also take to the streets to save the country. Along with this, a city-level unit of the Sant Samaj will be formed, which will include people from all the sects.
