Islamabad: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Abdul Rehman Makki, while releasing a video, has described Kashmir as a 'national issue of Pakistan'. Terrorist Makki has been declared an international terrorist by the United Nations (UN) after the removal of the technical ban by China. The deputy leader of Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) on Thursday (January 19) released a video from Lahore's Kot Lakhpat Jail, denying any links with Al-Qaeda or the Islamic State.
Terrorist Makki also said that this issue should be resolved according to the resolutions of the United Nations (UN) so that the atrocities on the people of Kashmir can end. In the video, Makki further said, 'Regarding Kashmir, we have a major part, we consider it a national issue of Pakistan and it should be resolved as per the UN resolutions so that the atrocities against the people of Kashmir end.'
Makki further said that he considers the ideas and actions of Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State to be completely against his own views. He said, 'I would also like to clarify that I do not support the views and actions of people like Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri, or Abdullah Azzam. On the contrary, I have always opposed their works in my academic life.'
