She said that during her visit to India, an elderly person identified her as the film Titanic and she was overwhelmed by it. Titanic was a film based on a true incident in which Kate and Leonardo DiCaprio played the lead roles. The film proved to be a huge hit in the country and abroad.

Kate told reliable foreign media that "Titanic was everywhere. I went to India a few years after the film's release. I was walking in the valley of Himalayas and I had my bag on my shoulder. An elderly person came to me using a stick. He looked at me and asked 'You Titanic', and I said yes." Kate said about this," the man put his hand on his chest and said 'thank you'. My tears came out. It helped me understand how much this film has given to people.” Kate says that she is proud of the James Cameron-directed film but the immense success of the film made her uncomfortable.

The actress further said in this regard, "I was leading a normal life and I was not ready for it at all. Suddenly people were looking at me, talking about me. I was getting into reading and hearing such things about myself which were not true. I am also human and it hurts. ''
