Srinagar: 6 out of 7 accused of Kathua Gangrape have been convicted. The Pathankot court has found 6 accused, including the main accused, Sanji Ram, guilty. The verdict on sentencing will arrive on the afternoon. On the day of the verdict, when the media interacted with the victim's mother, she started crying. She has said that all the accused should be sentenced to death.

It may be noted that even after so many days of the incident, the accused could not get punished so far. On January 10, 2018, an 8-year-old girl was gangraped in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir. The incident had sparked outrage across the country. It was not the country that had come under discussion in the whole world. The candle march was lifted across the country for justice.

A year and a half later, the decision is coming today. The six accused who have been found guilty include gram Pradhan Sanji RAM (main accused), Deepak Khajuria, Parvesh, Tilak Raj, Anand Dutta, Surendra Kumar. While Vishal, the son of Sanji Ram, has been acquitted.  Let me tell you that the matter was initially heard in the Jammu court, but later it was held in the Pathankot court where it was pronounced today.
