HYDERABAD:  Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) will not participate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with presidents of all political parties in New Delhi on December 5. The meeting was held to seek suggestions from all parties  for the G-20 summit, which India will host in September 2023.

TRS sources said that on Wednesday, the party received an invitation from the Center inviting the CM to the meeting. However, sources said that the KCR will skip the PM's meeting because of the continuing political conflict in the state between the BJP and the TRS. Uncertainty surrounds whether he will attend the meeting himself or send a TRS representative.

Beginning in December of this year, New Delhi is slated to host more than 200 meetings across the nation, including Hyderabad, as India takes up the G20 Summit presidency. Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates will be among the visitors welcomed by India. In light of this, the Prime Minister has held a conference to prepare for the G-20 summit and invited the presidents of all major political parties. The preparatory meetings are crucial because India will preside over such a huge gathering, bringing 20 of the world's largest economies under one overarching framework, for the first time since its independence. The CM, however, is unlikely to go to the G-20 preparation meeting in New Delhi with the PM.
