NEW DELHI: In a defamation case filed by BJP (BJP) leader Vijender Gupta, the Rouge Avenue court has summoned Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia to appear before it on July 16. In fact, during the Lok Sabha elections, Kejriwal had said in an interview to a channel that the BJP could kill him.

When Vijender Gupta tweeted his opposition to Kejriwal's allegation, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia countered and accused Vijender Gupta of being involved in a conspiracy to assassinate Kejriwal. It is worth mentioning that earlier hearings in the case were held on June 6. BJP leader Vijender Gupta had filed a defamation case against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal and Sisodia on June 4.

He alleged that Arvind Kejriwal's statement had tarnished his political reputation. They have asked for compensation of Rs.1 crore. Vijender Gupta's statement was filed against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in the last hearing in the case. In his statement, Gupta alleged that he and his party had been accused of damaging the image of him and his party.
