New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor, left for Punjab on Wednesday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of chief minister-designate Bhagwant Mann.

Mann's oath-taking ceremony has been meticulously planned at Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh in the Shaheed Bhagat Singh (SBS) Nagar area.

"Today is a significant day for Punjab. Today, in this bright morning of new hope, the entire Punjab will come together and resolve to make Punjab rich. "I have also left for Khatkar Kalan, the native village of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, to witness that historic moment," Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi.

Over three lakh people are scheduled to attend Mann's inauguration.  The Punjab chief minister-designate had welcomed people to the ceremony, stating that three crore people from the state will also take the oath with him.
