Kejriwal expresses grief after Delhi Health Minister father dies of COVID

India witnessing the second wave of coronavirus, people are succumbing to death. The national capital also suffers with the wave, lately Delhi’s Health Minister Satyendar Jain's father passed away with a coronavirus infection. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expresses his grief with a tweet on Sunday.

Health minister father, Ram Sharan Jain succumbed to Covid-19. The octogenarian resident of east Delhi was a retired schoolteacher, and had been admitted to a city hospital few days back. Jain himself had been infected by the virus in June last year and was hospitalized due to complications before recovering. CM Kejriwal took it to Twitter writing "Our health minister Satyendar Jain lost his father today to COVID. Satyendar himself has been working tirelessly round the clock for the people of Delhi. God bless his soul and my heartfelt condolences to the family. God bless his soul and my heartfelt condolences to the family.” Health Minister Satyendar Jain along with Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia are fighting the battle against novel coronavirus in the national capital.

Meanwhile, Delhi recorded 412 coronavirus-related deaths on Saturday. According to a bulletin issued by the Delhi health department the highest daily death toll has been recorded ever since the pandemic began last year. With this, Delhi's overall death toll has risen to 16559.
