New Delhi: AAP's national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said on Thursday that former CM Manohar Parrikar's son Utpal Parrikar has been offered to join AAP to contest the Goa elections. Arvind Kejriwal has publicly presented his proposal. He presented his proposal by tweeting the video of a private channel. In this video it was said that how Utpal's party Bharatiya Janata Party is not giving him permission to contest from his father's constituency Panaji.

The same Arvind Kejriwal tweeted and said, 'The people of Goa feel very sad that the Bharatiya Janata Party has adopted a 'use and throw policy' even with the Parrikar family. I have always respected Manohar Parrikar ji. Utpal ji is most welcome to join and contest the election on AAP ticket. Let us tell you that Manohar Parrikar died in 2019. At the same time, while discussing with the reporters in Goa on Thursday, Utpal Parrikar said, 'I will clarify my stand soon.'

The Bharatiya Janata Party has handed over the ticket to the Panaji constituency to controversial MLA Atanasio Babush Monserrate, who is accused of raping a young woman in 2016. A few days back, Bharatiya Janata Party's rival Shiv Sena had projected Utpal Parrikar as a worthy candidate. "If Utpal Parrikar contests as an independent from Panaji seat, I propose that all non-BJP parties including AAP, Congress, Trinamool Congress and Goa Forward Party should support his candidature," Shiv Sena's Sanjay Raut tweeted. No candidate should be put up against him.
