Kejriwal questions why his 'revdis' are problematic when PM Modi's halwa to his friends is not

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has criticized the BJP, pointing out that his 10 guarantees focus on real nation-building, which the BJP calls revdis.

Kejriwal targeted PM Modi, accusing him of favoring his friends. Without naming anyone, Kejriwal criticized the BJP government for waiving loans worth lakhs of crores.

The INDIA alliance, along with Rahul Gandhi, has been criticizing the BJP-led center for its close relations with big corporate houses led by Ambani and Adani.

"I don’t think I have seen a more confused and hypocritical PM than the present one," said Kejriwal. "He waived the loan dues of friends amounting to Rs 15 lakh crore and provided Rs 25,000 crore corporate tax incentives. When the PM gives halwa to his friends, it is okay; when I give revdis to the poor and middle class, they have a problem. They should decide if revdi is better for health or halwa."

The Delhi CM also accused the BJP of trying to stop the AAP's work, such as offering 12 lakh jobs in Delhi, in contrast to the BJP's motive of arresting opposition leaders.

"This election has become very local. People are really worried about inflation and unemployment. Due to the financial benefits that we provide in Delhi, inflation here is the lowest in the country --  less than 3 per cent while the national average is more than 6 per cent," Kejriwal said.

"When I go campaigning, I don’t have to tell people what we have done but I tell them why I have been arrested. I have been arrested because the PM wants to stop Delhi’s good government schools, mohalla clinics and free electricity and water," he added.

Kejriwal stated that the 'revdis' like in Delhi will be made available for the entire country, emphasizing, "In our 10 guarantees, we have talked about people’s daily issues. What we have done in Delhi, will be done in the country. This is real nation-building (rashtra nirmaan). The public does not have anything to do with what BJP talks about in its campaign."
