The convener of Aam Aadmi Party and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to the people of Delhi to vote for you in the next Lok Sabha elections, justifying the issue of giving full statehood to Delhi. Kejriwal said in the General Assembly organized by the party on this demand on Sunday, "Despite the elected government in Delhi the rule of the Lt Governor goes on. Because of this, the government is not able to do any work as well." Kejriwal advocated giving Delhi government powers to the rest of Delhi except the NDMC aareas.

Kejriwal said that Delhi was earlier under the Mughals, after which the British came to rule and now is under the governing body. He pointed out at the Lieutenant Governor that in all the states people choose their government, but inverted in Delhi. People vote, but they do not work.

The CM said, "In Delhi for four months, the IAS officers had staged strike. We went to meet the Lieutenant Governor but they did not meet. If there was a complete state then he could not refuse to meet. The Lieutenant Governor has insulted the people of Delhi, whose change will be decided by the people of Delhi in the 2019 elections."

Earlier, party's Delhi unit's in-charge Gopal Rai said that the party will run the campaign for the entire state of Delhi from Monday. For this, a meeting has been convened at all the Vidhan Sabha office on July 2. Three thousand movement centers will be opened in all polling stations and wards on July 3. These movements will be run from those centers.

He said that the workers would go to the house and make a sign from the people. Along with this, Kejriwal's chit will be delivered to the people. After collecting ten lakh forms it will be transported to the Prime Minister. The Aam Aadmi Party has issued a toll-free number for people's support for the issue of granting full state status to Delhi.
