New Delhi: The bail plea of Satyendra Jain, the health minister in the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi, has been rejected by a special CBI court. Let us know that Jain was arrested in a money laundering related case. For now, Satyendra Jain will have to remain in Tihar Jail in judicial custody.

The court of Special Judge Geetanjali Goel at Rouse Avenue categorically refused to grant relief to Satyendar Jain, saying it was not a proper stage in the case to grant him bail. The Enforcement Directorate(ED) investigation into the money laundering case continues unabated. The ED raids are still underway. The court said that due to this, the bail plea of Satyendra Jain is rejected. Jain is currently in judicial custody. After Jain was taken into custody, all the portfolios he had with him were allotted to Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain on May 30 under criminal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Earlier, the investigating agency had seized immovable properties worth Rs 4.81 crore from Jain and the companies under his control.
