Thiruvananthapuram: A young guava tree, fed by a Keralite girl, named Jayalakshmi, in her village house with a dream of spreading the message of organic agriculture throughout the country, will soon spread its leaves in the courtyard of the Prime Ministerâs official residence. Narendra modi, if everything goes according to plan.
Actor-turned-MP for BJP, Suresh Gopi handed over the sapling, given as a gift by Jayalakshmi, a tenth-grade student in the southern state, to the Prime Minister during his recent meeting with him in New Delhi. The deputy shared the photo of Modi accepting the gift of the aspiring farmer in his Twitter and Facebook handles Thursday with a short note.
Mr Suresh Gopi tweeted, âNeared in a courtyard of Kulanada, a village in Pathanamthitta, by a thoughtful young girl, ready to bloom in the residence of the Indian Prime Minister.â
The student had presented a sapling to the Prime Minister during the MPâs visit to Gandhi Bhavan in Pathanpuram earlier this week. The âKaliattamâ actor further added in the FB post, âThe PM wholeheartedly accepted it and assured to put it up in his official residence.â
Mr. Gopi also said that if the plant comes in his hands, we can also expect that tomorrow an Indian Prime Minister will say that a sapling sent by a little girl from Kulnad will grow in the courtyard of my official bungalow. Used to be! âAnyway, this is a great message⊠a message of pure democracy,â he said.
