Kerala CM congratulates Prannoy on winning Malaysia Masters Super 500 title

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday congratulated Indian badminton player HS Prannoy for winning the men's singles title of the Malaysia Masters Super 500 tournament in Kuala Lumpur. Vijayan said Prannoy's stellar performance has not only made Kerala proud but is also going to motivate young players to work harder.  

"Congratulations to SH Prannoy for a spectacular victory at the Malaysia Masters 2023. His unmatched performance has made Kerala proud and is going to inspire young players to work harder. Keep shining HS Pranay. '' 

According to reports, World Number 9 Prannoy of Kerala has also won the title by defeating Weng Hong Yang of China in the three-game final on Sunday. This is Prannoy's first Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour title. It is also said to be India's first singles title of 2023.
