New Delhi: 43,393 new corona cases have been registered in the country and 911 corona patients have died in the last 24 hours. Out of this, 31,692 cases have been reported from 5 states alone, i.e., more than 73.03 percent of corona cases have been registered from only 5 states in total cases. Kerala topped these states with 31.74 percent or 13,772 new corona cases. Apart from Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Assam are among the states with the highest number of new corona cases.

In the last 24 hours, 911 patients have lost their lives from corona in the country. Maharashtra has the highest number of deaths. Maharashtra recorded 439 corona deaths and Kerala 142 deaths on Thursday. Coming to the figures for the last 24 hours, 44,459 corona patients have recovered across the country, taking the total number of recoveries to 2,98,88,284. Currently, the recovery rate in India is 97.19 percent. There are currently 4,58,727 active cases of corona in India. The number of patients in the total active cases has come down by 1,977 in the last 24 hours. 40,23,173 people have been vaccinated in the country in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 36,89,91,222 corona vaccines have been administered in the country.

According to a report released by the Union Health Ministry, 80 percent of corona infection cases in India are coming from 90 districts. The number of northeastern states is 14. This includes several other states including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
