Devotees of Sri Krishna temple, Guruvayur, Kerala  will not be able to see the Lord as Covid has confirmed to the staff of Guruvayur temple. The management of the temple decided to stop entry of devotees to the temple in the wake of a spike in the number of Covid patients among the temple staff.

Admission is suspended for the next two weeks. Poojas and ceremonies will be held as usual. While 153 employees underwent antigen tests, 46 were positive. With this, the temple area was made a restricted area.

Bookings for weddings and Libra have been suspended. The weddings that were scheduled to take place today will take place. There will be no pre-booked weddings and offerings, including the balance, as it is restricted to two weeks from Sunday.

Devotees were allowed to enter Nalambalam from December 1 after the Covid epidemic. But it was stopped within four days after Covid confirmed it to employees. After that, the employees were inspected again last day. The Devaswom Board has informed that the employees will now undergo antigen testing every month.
