THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Arif Mohammed Khan, the governor of Kerala, issued a warning to the state ministers on Monday in response to their comments criticising him and his office.

Chief Minister and Council of Ministers have every right to advise Governor. However, statements made by certain ministers can provoke retaliation, such as withholding pleasure, if they diminish the dignity of the Governor's position "The Governor stated in his tweet.

This comes after Khan was criticised by the state's minister of higher education, R. Bindhu, for refusing to approve a bill that would have "revamped the education sector."

"Those in positions covered by the Constitution ought to behave accordingly. We all witnessed his visit to the RSS headquarters, and this is not promising "Bindhu noted that the state government is not in the mood to engage in any type of conflict with the governor.

M.V. Govindan, the state secretary of the CPI-M, quickly seized on this and noted that Khan had adopted the incorrect stance; as a result, it is not incorrect to claim that he is attempting to advance the RSS agenda in this situation.
P.D.T. Achary, a former secretary general of the Lok Sabha, asserted that the governor lacks such authority because he or she may only act on the suggestion of the chief minister.

For missing a senate meeting where a senate member was to be recommended to the interview panel for choosing the future vice-chancellor of the Kerala University, Khan last week withdrew 15 nominated senate members of the Kerala University.

Even though everyone was given notice of the senate meeting's convening, only a small number of people showed up, and the meeting had to be cancelled since there was not the necessary quorum. Khan was upset by the ruling Left members' decision to do this.

Khan and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had verbally attacked one another last month over a several things. When the two met at the funeral of CPI-M veteran Kodiyeri Balakrishnan earlier this month, the latter was irritated that the former had not officially informed him of his journey to Europe. Vijayan later made up for this by telling him.
