Kochi: The Kerala High Court has expressed displeasure over the crowd gathering outside liquor shops. The High Court said that only 20 people are allowed to come to the wedding on the one hand, while on the other hand, crowds are gathering outside liquor shops. The court said that only 20 people have been allowed to attend weddings, but more than 500 people are gathering after liquor shops. Social distancing is also not being followed there.

The High Court reprimanded the Bevco saying that you did not even provide the necessary facilities. State that Bevco is a government agency that handles the supply of liquor. High Court Judge Justice Devan Ramachandran made the remarks while hearing the contempt case. The high court had ordered to reduce congestion outside the liquor shop, but the physical distance was not being followed outside a liquor shop in Thrissur.

The High Court further said, "What message do you want to convey to the people through this crowd?" At the moment, the health of the people is essential, not the helplessness of the Bevco. The high court has asked for reducing the congestion outside liquor shops.
