Thiruvananthapuram: A surprising case has come to light in Kerala. A woman has been accused of killing her mother-in-law, father-in-law, husband and three other relatives in Kozhikode district. It is alleged that the woman used cyanide to carry out the murder and killed the entire family in 14 years.

So far the Kozhikode police have arrested accused Jolly Thomas, her friend M. Mathew and a jewellery worker who used to arrange cyanide for the murders. Investigation has revealed that Jolly used to give the victims a mixture of cyanide in food. The first such alleged death due to cyanide was in 2002 by his mother-in-law Anamma Thomas. Six years later in 2008, Jolly allegedly murdered her father-in-law Tom Thomas, and in 2011, Jolly also killed her husband Roy Thomas.

The murders in the Thomas family did not stop here. In 2014, Roy Thomas' maternal uncle Matthew died under similar circumstances. Two years later, another close relative, Silly, and her one-year-old child died in similar situations. Silly was the wife of Shaju (Jolly's lover). At the same time, the police have arrested Jolly.
