Unni Dev, the son of late actor Rajan P Dev on Tuesday, booked for the suicide of his wife Priyanka earlier this month. Unni Dev is also an actor who has acted in a few Malayalam movies. Police team from Nedumangad arrived at his home in Ernakulam district and took him into custody and after making sure he had turned COVID-19 negative, reported continued the proceedings.

His wife was found hanged at her home in Vattapara on May 12, 2021. The Vattapara police station then registered a case of unnatural death and they then admitted that a day before her death, she had come to file a complaint for violence.

Later, Priyanka’s brother also filed a petition for the abuse she suffered at Unni’s home. Local police then began their investigation and was left stranded after it was discovered that Unni was COVID-19 positive and on Tuesday police discovered he had turned negative.

Relatives of the deceased have alleged that she is in pain and claim to have images of the same, while Unni’s family have yet to speak out about the matter.
