Thiruvananthapuram: The Enforcement Directorate has seized Rs 1.6 crore worth of immovable assets of James George and his wife Seema James, chairman of the Modern Group of Institution, Kollam, in connection with the fake degree. The case relates to Kollam in Kerala where property worth Rs 1.6 crore was seized by the owner of the institution, James George, and his wife Seema George.

An ED official said that fake degree certificates of all the universities of the country are being sold in the country and abroad and a huge amount of black money is being earned. Investigations are currently going on in this case. According to the news received, at present, the company has recovered properties in Alappuzha, Thrissur and Kollam. At the same time, in 2015, Kollam is also investigating a case filed by the former police.

Polling will be held for all 140 assembly seats in Kerala on 6 April. The results of the election will be announced on May 2. The BJP is very hopeful about the Kerala elections. The BJP hopes that this time she can play the main character in the Kerala elections. At the same time, disclosure of such a scam coming so close to the elections can create difficulties for the government currently in power.
