Kochi: In today's world, some pictures are truly heart-rending, even if the picture comes out of a place where you don't expect anything. The living example of Hindu-Muslim unity in Kerala is attracting people. Temple management here has placed a painting of Bal Gopal presented by 28-year-old Muslim woman Jasna Saleem in the temple.

In fact, Jasna Salim has been gifting pictures of little Krishna to the famous Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple in Thrissur, but traditions and customs did not allow her to go inside the temple or keep these pictures inside the temple. Even her religion did not allow these pictures of her to be kept in her house. Salim was very upset about it. She started preparing to put up a picture in the temple again and this time she managed her work.

Since non-Hindus are not allowed inside the ancient temple, she either affixes her picture near the hundi in front of the portal or hands it over to the temple staff every year on the day of Vishu and Janmashtami.
