Kerala: 10 arrested in RSS worker's murder case, main accused also arrested

Kochi: Police on Tuesday arrested the main accused in the murder of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker S Sanjeet in Palakkad district of Kerala. Palakkad Police has informed that so far 10 people have been arrested in this case. Sanjeet was attacked by a group of people in front of his wife Arshika in Elappally village last year. He was on his way to the office to drop his wife at the time of the murder.

On the death of RSS worker, state BJP unit president K Surendran had announced a massive agitation against the CPM-SDPI alliance. He had said that '10 RSS-BJP workers have been killed by the group in the last five years. The police is yet to reveal the conspiracy behind these murders. Kerala Police is scared to reveal the role of PFI and SDPI in Sanjeet's murder.

In this case, the RSS had alleged that there was 'terrorist involvement' in the murder of one of its volunteers in Kerala. The Sangh had also demanded an investigation by the NIA in this matter. Sangh's Saha Sarkaryavah Dr Manmohan Vaidya had said this after meeting the family members of Sanjeet. He had said that, 'We demand that if justice is not found in the CPM government of Kerala, then the central government should intervene in this matter. We also demand a detailed NIA probe into the murder of Sanjeet as the attacker has links with terrorists.
