At the same time, 2,693 people have been confirmed in Thrissur, 2,209 in Palakkad, 2,113 in Kozhikode, 2,072 in Ernakulam, 1,371 in Kollam, 1,243 in Kannur, 1,120 in Alappuzha, 1,111 in Kottayam, and 969 in Thiruvananthapuram. According to a release, the new patients include 98 health workers and 112 people from outside the state. The government says 1,67,579 samples were tested during the last 24 hours.
