New Delhi: It is doubtful that there will be any most important initiative to get better ties between India and Pakistan until Lok Sabha polls are held, official sources stated Thursday. However, they did not "definitively” denied any positive development.

Last month, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan during calling for improving ties between the two neighbors nation, had stated that he was willing to wait for New Delhi's answer till general elections are held in India. Worth mention here the Lok Sabha polls are due in April-May.

Asked about the most recent episode of stalking of staff at Indian High Commission in Islamabad, the sources stated India is not considering scaling down its strength in mission.

They also stated Pakistan is yet to grant gas connections to the new inhabited building of its mission in Islamabad in spite of repeated requests by India.

"Our diplomats are facing harassment on multiple counts. Our High Commission buildings and projects in Islamabad are stalled for last 10 years. We moved people in the High Commission building with no gas supply," stated a source.

They further stated that furniture for new buildings is held up at the border and no telecom connections have been provided by Pakistan.

The corridor which will connect Darbar Sahib in Pakistan's Kartarpur - the final resting place of Sikh faith's founder Guru Nanak Dev - with Dera Baba Nanak holy place is opened India's Gurdaspur district for taking forward to peace talks.
