Chandigarh:After writing on the walls of the assembly of the erstwhile state of Himachal Pradesh, 'Khalistan Zindabad' has now been found written on the walls of a park in Punjab. The Punjab Police has informed that 'Khalistan Zindabad' has been written with  paint on the wall of a park in Faridkot's Jajagar Basti.

On the incident, the Faridkot SSP said, "Our team is present at the spot there. CCTV footage is being scanned. Teams are working on the matter and an FIR has also been registered. Along with this, the police have been put on alert, naka check posts have also been set up. The Himachal Pradesh Police had arrested a man from Punjab on Wednesday in connection with the case of putting up a Khalistan flag at the main gate of the state's winter assembly in Dharamsala and writing slogans on its walls. This information was given by CM Jairam Thakur.

The man had allegedly tied the flags of the separatist outfit there on Sunday. This act was condemned by all political parties. CM Jai Ram Thakur said that the second accused is being traced and he will be nabbed soon. Thakur, in a statement issued here on Wednesday, told the media about the success of the police. Police arrested a man named Harvir Singh from Punjab in the morning.
