Sometimes in the evening, everyone in the house gets hungry. In such a situation, if you want to make something good, you can make khaman dhokla because it will be easily made and the family will like to eat.


Khaman Dhokla Making Materials-
Moong Dal – 1/2 cup
Urad Dal – 1/2 cup
Rice – 1/2 cup
Chana Dal – 1/2 cup
Yoghurt – 1/2 cup
Water – 4 tbsp
Ginger chilli paste – 2 tsp
Asafoetida – 2 pinch
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 3 tsp
Eno Fruit Salt – 1 pouch

Method of making khaman dhokla - First take a bowl, add 1 cup moong dal/green gram and 1/2 cup urad dal/split black gram. Now add 1/2 cup rice, 1/2 cup chana dal/chickpeas and wash all the dal-rice with water. Then wash all the dal and rice and soak them in water for 3 hours. After about 3 hours, remove the excess water and pour the mixture into the grinding jar. Now add 1/2 cup curd (optionally 1 cup buttermilk), 2 tbsp water, grind well to make a fine paste.

Then take out the batter in a bowl. Now add 2 tsp ginger-green chilli paste, 2 pinch asafoetida, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste in the batter. Then add 2-3 teaspoons of oil and beat everything well. Now place a pan on the gas, add 2 glasses of water, close the lid and boil for 5-6 minutes. Now take a plate and grease it with oil. Then add 1 pouch of Eno fruit salt to the batter and mix well in one direction. Now remove the butter from the ghee plate and sprinkle red chilli powder on the batter. Then place a bowl/stand in water and place the batter plate on the cup. Now close the lid and steam your dhokla on a high flame for 10-12 minutes. Then after 15 or 10-12 minutes, remove the lid and put a toothpick in the dhokla, if the toothpick comes out clean, it means that your dhokla is completely cooked.
