As part of the state government's effort to provide quality oxygen to patients in government hospitals, a liquid oxygen plant has been set up in government hospital in Khammam district.

Let us share briefly for your information, transport minister Poowada Ajay Kumar inaugurated the plant at the hospital on Wednesday. He told the press that the 13,000-litre oxygen plant was set up at a cost of Rs 50 lakh and equivalent to 14,000 oxygen cylinders. The minister informed that the second lot started after Siddipet was the oxygen plant in Khammam. Liquid oxygen can be supplied continuously to the ICU of The Covid-19 Ward, Women and Child Care Centre and District Hospital. All oxygen can be supplied directly to 256 beds.

After the coronavirus novel, oxygen demand increased as many people suffer from respiratory problems. Ajay Kumar has identified that the government has decided to set up oxygen plants in district hospitals in the state. Several officials on the incident were ZP chairman L Kamal Raj, Suda chairman B Vijay Kumar, Mayor G Papalal, his deputy B Murali, DM and HO DR. B Malathi and others participated.
