Veteran music composer Khayyam passes away, celebs pay tribute

Mohammed Zahoor Khayyam, a famous musician passed away late on Monday. His condition was very bad for the past days and you may recall that he was admitted to the ICU of Suraj Hospital, Mumbai, a few days ago. On the other hand, the demise of 'Khayyam' Sahib has led to a state of mourning in Bollywood and all are paying homage to him through social media with damp eyes.

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief on social media over the passing away of Mohammed Zahoor Khayyam Saheb and tweeted two consecutive tweets to PM Modi on his passing away. He wrote, "India will remain grateful to Khayyam Sahab for giving us some of the most memorable compositions, which will be remembered forever. He will also be remembered for his humanitarian gestures to support upcoming artists. His demise is extremely saddening.,"

Noted singer Lata Mangeshkar tweeted about the passing away of Khayyam Sahib. SHe wrote: "Mahan sangeetkar Aur bahut nek dil insan Khayyam sahab aaj humare bich nahi rahe. Ye sunkar mujhe itna dukh hua hai jo main bayaa’n nahi kar sakti.Khayyam sahab ke saath sangeet ke ek yug ka anth hua hai.Main unko vinamra shraddhanjali arpan karti hun."

Writer Javed Akhtar also tweeted that the Great musician Khayyam Saheb passed away. He has given many evergreen creations.
